I dropped out of high school, things just weren't working out. Had a bad attitude towards life in general.
Then I met the people at the Out-of-School Youth Program. They listened to what I had to say. They said they saw something good in me.
They got me into the Theatre Crafts Training Program at the Claremont Opera House. Theatre Arts...me? Ok, I guess.
Then they convinced me to finally get my high school diploma through the G.E.D. program. With that, and new confidence, I'm now Private Slack in the United States Army! Hurraaahhhh!
Going from doing nothing, to graduating high school, to now serving my country, took a lot of big steps. I couldn't have done it without my new friends at the programs affiliated with NH WORKS.
Oh yeah, one more big step...I'm now an Airborne Army Ranger. Thanks, NH WORKS. You pushed me out the door, and now I'm jumping with joy!
